A light and nutritious Mediterranean dish where tender Swiss chard is sautéed with onions and spices. Topped with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce, it can be enjoyed as a healthy main course or a side dish.

Ingredients :

  • 1 bunch of Swiss chard
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 tsp red pepper powder
  • For the topping:
  • 1 bowl of yogurt
  • 2 cloves of garlic

Preparation :

  • Wash the Swiss chard thoroughly and chop it into thin strips.
  • Finely dice the onion and sauté it in olive oil over medium heat in a large pan until translucent.
  • Once the onions are sautéed, add the tomato paste, salt, black pepper, and red pepper powder, and continue to cook for a few minutes.
  • Add the chopped Swiss chard to the pan and stir well to combine with the onion and spice base.
  • After the chard releases and reabsorbs its own juices, continue cooking on low heat, stirring occasionally, until completely tender.
  • For the sauce, mince the garlic and mix it with the yogurt.
  • Transfer the cooked Swiss chard to a serving plate. You can serve it topped with the yogurt sauce.
