A light and nutritious Mediterranean dish where tender Swiss chard is sautéed with onions and spices. Topped with a creamy garlic yogurt sauce, it can be enjoyed as a healthy main course or a side dish.
Ingredients :
- 1 bunch of Swiss chard
- 1 onion
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/3 tsp red pepper powder
- For the topping:
- 1 bowl of yogurt
- 2 cloves of garlic
Preparation :
- Wash the Swiss chard thoroughly and chop it into thin strips.
- Finely dice the onion and sauté it in olive oil over medium heat in a large pan until translucent.
- Once the onions are sautéed, add the tomato paste, salt, black pepper, and red pepper powder, and continue to cook for a few minutes.
- Add the chopped Swiss chard to the pan and stir well to combine with the onion and spice base.
- After the chard releases and reabsorbs its own juices, continue cooking on low heat, stirring occasionally, until completely tender.
- For the sauce, mince the garlic and mix it with the yogurt.
- Transfer the cooked Swiss chard to a serving plate. You can serve it topped with the yogurt sauce.
