These mashed potatoes are boiled until tender and mixed with warm milk and butter to achieve a good texture. It is the ultimate companion to stews, grilled meats, and vegetables.

Ingredients :

  • 6 medium potatoes
  • 1 cup hot milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 tsp black pepper

Preparation :

  • Peel and wash the potatoes thoroughly, then place them in a pot and boil in plenty of water until they are soft and tender.
  • Drain the cooked potatoes and mash them immediately while they are still hot to avoid lumps.
  • Add the hot milk, butter, salt, and black pepper to the mashed potatoes.
  • Using a hand mixer on high speed, whip the mixture until it reaches a perfectly smooth and homogeneous consistency.
  • Ensure the milk is hot before adding it; never use cold milk as it will ruin the silky texture of the puree.
  • Transfer the warm mashed potatoes to a serving dish and serve immediately while hot.
