With just three ingredients and minimal prep, you can turn potatoes into a side dish. Seasoned with salt or with rosemary and paprika, they come out of the oven perfectly crisp every single time.

Ingredients :

  • 6 medium potatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil (or olive oil)
  • Optional: Dried thyme, rosemary, or paprika for seasoning

Preparation :

  • Peel the potatoes and rinse them thoroughly under cold water to remove excess starch.
  • Cut the potatoes into wedges, cubes, or thin rounds, depending on your preference.
  • Place the potatoes in a large bowl. Drizzle with the vegetable oil and sprinkle with salt (add spices if using).
  • Toss everything well until the potatoes are evenly coated with oil and seasoning.
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the potatoes in a single layer. Do not overcrowd them.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve hot as a side dish.
